WHAT I'VE WORKED ON
Spring 2022
BSMIF Stock Pitch
As a member of the BSMIF (Biola Student Managed Investment Fund), I have the opportunity to value and pitch a stock to vote into our fund allocation. We currently have $27,000 that we are actively managing and investing. I used three different valuations to determine what the intrinsic value of the stock was. I used the relative valuation method, normalized method, and the DCF (Discounted Cash Flow). These are valuation methods I learned in my Investments course.
This provided a platform to not only practice valuing a stock, but to invest and manage the investment as well.
Spring 2021
Retirement Planning
Four Different Retirement Scenarios
I completed Retirement Planning in the Spring of 2021.
I've included this spreadsheet to illustrate the four different methods I used to calculate retirement needs. These methods include the annuity method, capital preservation method, purchasing power preservation method, and an analysis with 401k or IRA contributions. These scenarios were used to determine the retirement needs of several individuals, as well as the probability of their plans success.
I also completed a comprehensive analysis for my own retirement.
Fall 2020
Marketing Project Proposal and Analysis:
In Intro to Marketing, I worked to develop a new product to target a demographic that has been neglected. My proposed idea was to create a program for individuals aged 18-25 to more feasibly enter the housing market.
I named the proposed app StudentUnits and created a comprehensive plan with an Executive Overview, Company Description, Mission and Goals statement, Core Competencies highlight, potential Competition, and Target Market analysis. This included a plan for distribution, promotion and pricing as well as a PEST (Political, Economic, Social, and Technological) and SWOT analysis.

Fall 2021
Business Finance Lululemon Financials Report
I completed Business Finance Fall 2021. Our final consisted in the final analysis of our selected company and their financial health based on financial liquidity ratios. We worked as a team to analyze Lululemon Athletica using financial ratios, background research and other criteria. Our team included graphs to represent the information and ratios used.
This course offered a practical application of useful financial information to determine a company's success.
Spring 2021
Tableau Data Analysis
Men vs. Women in Finance:
I completed Business Analytics in the Spring 2021. This course cumulated in a final project requiring the collection of specific data to create a Tableau presentation.
I specifically searched for data on the gap existing between men and women in Finance.
I then cleaned up and formatted this data in excel to use in Tableau so that I could create 5 visualizations to display my findings. I've included this project as a compilation of my usage of research, data analysis, excel, tableau and a brief written report of my findings.
Fall 2019
Facebook SWOT Analysis:
For my Principles of Management course, my team and I presented a 20 minute long, in-depth analysis of Facebook. We researched Facebook's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.
I chose to display this project as it showcases the hard work and precision my team and I executed. Not only did this project refine my public speaking skills, but also enhanced my understanding of a large-scale company analysis.
If I did this project again, I would try to contact Facebook to get more inside intel, such as an interview or phone call.
